Our cornhole boards are proudly made from quality Australian plywood, not imported particle board and not vinyl stickers. We print directly onto the timber, then seal the artwork into the board for a durable, premium finish that looks and feels authentic.
Because of this, there’s something important we want our customers to understand — especially when choosing lighter colours.
Printing inks (including professional UV inks) are naturally translucent. This is a standard and intentional characteristic of high-quality printing, allowing colours to blend correctly and maintain depth.
When lighter colours are printed directly onto timber:
On white or synthetic surfaces, colours appear more solid because the white background reflects light back through the ink. Our boards don’t rely on artificial white bases or stickers — they rely on real timber, and that’s exactly what gives them their premium appearance.
Because timber is a natural material, no two sheets are ever identical. That said:
We choose not to hide the timber with heavy white underbases because preserving the natural Australian woodgrain is part of what makes our boards unique, authentic, and visually striking.
If you’re expecting a flat, solid, mass-produced look — similar to laminated or particle board products — our boards may look different.
If you value real materials, quality printing, and a handcrafted finish, this is exactly what sets our boards apart.
